Seeking volunteers at the front desk
Éco-quartier de Peter-McGill is seeking volunteers to help staff the front desk during the months of June, July and August. Are you interested in the environment and in sustainable development? Then consider helping us out for one or two hours a week for a month (minimum commitment is one month). Your shift would be either from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (to be determined according to your availability). You would welcome visitors, provide information to residents, answer the phone and do some data entry. By getting involved, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our organization and making everyone feel included in the community!
Seeking volunteers to help run community vegetable gardens
This year, éco-quartier de Peter McGill has been tasked with creating community vegetable gardens to help provide food security to vulnerable populations. We will be taking care of five such lots and the entire harvest will be donated to organizations helping people in need. The program will be run by our urban greening coordinator with the help of the urban agriculture agent, and we are currently seeking volunteers who can lend a hand with watering and maintenance.
