In the Ville-Marie area, cleanliness is taken seriously!
Proof? This borough will soon launch an awareness campaign so that everyone can adopt a good environmental behavior.
If you want to contribute to the advertising campaign of the event, it is possible!
In fact, if you are over 18 and live in the Ville-Marie borough, you can submit your application.
They will need you for a period of about four hours. It can be either during the day, evening or weekend. Successful participants will receive a $ 300 gift card at Adonis, Archambault, Atmosphère, IGA, La Cordée or Sport Experts.
The photo shoot will take about four hours. Once again, it can be either during the day, evening or weekend. Send your contact information (name, address, telephone number) and a picture to communicationsvillemarie@ville.montreal.qc.ca or go to the borough’s office. Starting in spring, the campaign will deal with the various problems encountered: non-compliance with the schedule collection, cigarette butts, wild deposits, canine waste not collected, etc.
The preservation of our quality of life and the environment necessarily involves the preservation of a clean public space. In addition to the district’s actions in terms of cleanliness, every citizen can contribute to making their neighborhood more pleasant.
Some small reminders of the rules of etiquette:
The daily work of City agents is accompanied by respectful behavior and the involvement of everyone! To do so, please:
• RESPECT THE COLLECTION SCHEDULE:
The smooth running’s of the weekly collection requires the cooperation of everyone. Do not drop your recycling bins, compost bins and garbage bags all mixed up. Arrange the different bins and bags neatly, on the edge of the sidewalk between 5 am and 8 am in the morning of your collection day.
• AVOID THROING AWAY TRASH ON PUBLIC STREETS, PAPER, CIGARETTE BUTTS, CONTAINERS, ETC
• PICK UP THE EXCREMENTS OF YOUR DOG AT ALL TIMES AND DISPOSE THEM IN A BIN.
In order for your pet to be appreciated by all, collect its droppings and throw them in the bins provided for this purpose. Therefor, when you walk your little companion, remember to always bring a pickup device with you.
• SMALL OR LARGE, DO NOT DISPOSE BAGS OF WASTE IN A PUBLIC BIN.
•PLACE BIGGER OBJECTS ON THE STREET EDGE OR, IF POSSIBLE, TAKE THEM TO AN ECOCENTER.
• DO NOT DISPOSE OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE IN STREET BINS.
The street bins installed on public roads are intended to receive garbage from people walking on the sidewalks. Under no circumstances should you put your bags next to a garbage bin or inside it.
