Did you know that cigarette butts are the leading source of waste in the world and that they are plastic-based? This makes them among the most harmful forms of waste for wildlife.
In partnership with SAESEM, we are working hard to ensure that the approximately 3,000,000,000 cigarette butts discarded by Montrealers every year can finally be recycled! We are planning to install a public ashtray in front of Eco-quartier to enable you to recycle even the butts of cigarettes you smoke at home.
