The plant distribution is back!

As it does every year, and as part of its beautification program, the Arrondissement de Ville-Marie will be distributing plants free of charge.

Ville-Marie groups and residents will be able to receive trees and shrubs as well as vegetable plants in addition to the annual flowers and fine herbs that are usually offered, with more choices this year and plant options that have a positive impact on the environment, biodiversity and food autonomy.

What’s new 💚 In the spirit of ecological transition, this year you will be able to receive free trees, shrubs, vegetable plants, in addition to annual flowers and fine herbs.

May 19, 2023: distribution to groups (NPO, HLM, COOP, etc.)

Registration only until Wednesday, May 10, 2023: register here.

  • Proof will be required that the headquarters, principal place of business, street or building is located in the borough. Groups not registered will not be eligible to receive plants.
  • Quantities are awarded based on the space available at the organization and the ability of the organization to plant the trees and shrubs in the ground.
  • A maximum of three (3) trays of 48 flowers will be awarded to each organization.

Annual flowers: calendula, nasturtiums, cosmos and rudbeckia

Perennials: echinacea, rudbeckia, hosta, Virginia creeper

Shrubs: amelanchier canadensis, juniperus virg. blue arrow, balsam myrtle, heritage raspberry, “Chester” mulberry, western red cedar, fragrant bramble

Trees : carpinus caroliniana, serviceberry, amelanchier canadensis.

May 20, 2023, starting at 10am: distribution to residents of the Arrondissement de Ville-Marie

First come, first served | Quantities are limited | From 10am

  • Proof of residency will be required to pick up plants.
  • A maximum of 18 flowers or 12 flowers and 4 herbs or vegetables are available per address.

Flowers: begonias, nasturtiums, coleus, pansies, Buenos Aires verbena and tagetes.

Herbs and vegetables: cherry tomatoes, ground cherries, basil, chives and parsley.
