In 2013, our team was granted two distinctions for the work of the Éco-quartier and SAESEM in the development of the Quartier 21 Peter-McGill My green island in the city:

– Laureate at the Gala de l’environnement et développement durable de Montréal in 2013 in the category ‎”Corps publics, conjointement avec l’arrondissement de Ville-Marie‎”

– Laureate of the Phénix de l’environnement

In 2001, the Éco-quartier Peter-McGill program was laureate of the ‎”Phénix de l’environnement‎”. This mention was granted following the initiative ‎”Appellation V, commerce vert‎”. This campaign established an environmental accreditation for local merchants. This campaign help incentivise merchants to participate in recycling and introduce better practices within their operations. A dozen volunteers and students were involved in the direct outreach of over 700 downtown merchants and a grand total of 7000 owners, employees and customers.
